A bit of huntin', dancin' and dreamin' - Unity Thursday.

Hello peeps!
It's time for another Unity Thursday!

You should be arriving from Shemaine's blog :)
and like always -
here's a whole list of participating blog for your reference.

Thienly Azim - that's me!

Hope that you're LOVING these new releases -
as much as I do!

I made a few cards today to share with y'all!
Up first is a fun cowboy card to get you movin'!

 photo DSC_2610_zps930df2b9.jpg

I used papers from both Carta Bella Giddy Up collections
(bringing out the goodness of both!)
and embellished with some wood veneer stars, trims, button and a clothespin.
Simple but a fun card!

 photo DSC_2612_zps7332c374.jpg

I just love this stamp -
the boots are so darn cute and love the font used for the sentiment!

Next up is a card from the hunting set!

 photo DSC_2624_zps95f5547a.jpg

This is another simple card -
but loved the concept :)

I cut out concentric circles and layered them to make it look like a target.
Except - I randomly displaced the circles off by a bit to add to the style.

 photo DSC_2626_zps12b4e618.jpg

The stamp is on an acetate,
backed with a vellum,
and is holding a wooden veneer heart inside :)

Lastly, but not least -
is another hunting one, but real outdoorsy one this time.
(sorry - ran out of time to make a dreamcather!)

 photo DSC_2614_zpsa502b773.jpg

I found the perfect papers from Bo Bunny to use with these stamps.
I added some burlap and mesh to make it a bit rough -
and added some interest using Epiphany Crafts circles and stiching.
The compass and the binoculars are from HERE, if you're interested!

 photo DSC_2615_zps409a5e3c.jpg

You've got to go take a lookie at the rest of the stamps in that kit!
It's so much fun!

My Mama's Birthday Cupcake.

Hello friends!

My Mama just turned 65, just two days ago.
(For those of you that are friends with me must have seen my her pic I posted ;) )

She's a special woman -
beautiful inside and out,
and with her positive energy, humorous, and thoughtful personality -
she can pretty much light up any room she's in.
I just love her.

So, to commemorate her day,
I made a paper cupcake for her as part of her gift -
and I wanted to share that with you today!

 photo DSC_2604_zps3a73a034.jpg
She loved it.

With this project, I used the Birthday Jubilee sentiment kit.
(By the way - did you know that Unity releases a new sentiment kit EVERY month,
and they are all SO amazing?
The current one is a Halloween one,
and am currently waiting for that one to come in the mail!)

The papers are from October Afternoon's Woodland Park collection -
it's so beautiful!

 photo DSC_2605_zps126ce421.jpg
Here's a side view!

I didn't really do anything 'special' with the stamps here -
but just LOVE to used them with my papercraft projects, too!

For those who have cutting machines and are interested,
the cupcake and the flower files are from HERE.
 the candle is from HERE.
the plate is from HERE.
the spoon is from HERE.

 photo DSC_2607_zps23a69ab2.jpg

So, I asked her what she wanted to have for her birthday...
and this is what she said.
(yep - found pretty much the 'quote' of exactly what she told me!)

 photo birthday_zpsf8817732.jpg

Just love this quote!

So, we all took her out for a nice family dinner that night,
and treated her to a special drink :)
(Of course, I'm getting her a present, too!)

Here's a pic of us from that night -
(my mama is on the left and I'm in the middle)

Oh, do we ever have so much fun together!

Hope that you enjoyed my little post today -
have yourself a beautiful day!

BON APPETIT! - food gift box

Hello all friends!
Thought that I'd join in the fun today for Friends with Flair Friday!

I have been busy working on my project that are 'soon' to be posted,
and was going to keep myself quiet...
until I realized I had a project (which I really liked)
that I had made all the way back in May!
Yep, May!
I made this for the intention as a 'back up' project,
in case, I got too busy over the holidays and needed a project!

... and then, I forgot about it!
Until now...

So, here's a fun little box that I'm ready to share!

 photo DSC_1461_zpsa4425b5c.jpg

You can use to GIVE -
little treats, coffee beans, tea bags, or even homemade herbs if you have your own garden!
The cute part of this box is that you can stuff these goodies inside the crackers :)

 photo DSC_1460_zps22028187.jpg

Arent' these stamps SO ADORABLE?

I just LOVE the classiness of kraft, cream and black -
so I stuck with those colors for this project.

So, when you open the box...

 photo DSC_1464-1_zps06539c5f.jpg

it has 3 crackers all decorated with these pretty stamps.

 photo DSC_1466_zps433ff522.jpg

How fun would it be to receive some goodies in these!

For the cutting file info:
Crackers  (made Halloween crackers way back, and there's a link where you can download them!)
Rectangular Box (I resized it to fit the 3 crackers and added an acetate window)

That's it - but before I let you go...

Don't forget to check out the sale over at Unity!
(and there are lots of new releases, too -
just click on the images you're interested below)

...and one more thing.
Leo and Mary from SVG Cuts are getting married in a week!!!
I'm so excited for them!
They are going to be releasing their last kit (will mostly likely be posted here when it's available!)
before they are off to get hitched! :)

It's a pretty amazing kit -
and I've seen some sneaks of it -
and you're gonna want it!
Here's a peek of what they've posted!

Okay, won't keep you here any longer...
enjoy your Friday my friends!

Broken Shopping Cart Unity Thursday

Broken Shopping Cart?
Unity's website shopping cart totally messed up on the last sale day...
So for those who didn't get a chance to purchase what you wanted to -
Here's a chance for you!

But wait!
This only lasts a day, but you also have a chance to purchase the new releases,
as well as there are several new things added to the store!
Unity sure knows how to keep us going back! :)

You should be arriving here from Shemaine's blog,
and as always, here a list for your reference.
Make sure that you COMMENT on each of the blogs for your chance to win a PRIZE!!!

First up is MY FAVORITE project for this hop...
using the new Fashionista witch... Tabitha!
(artist: Tracey Malnofski)

 photo DSC_2562_zps39a95e7c.jpg

Isn't she amazing?
She's a classy witch - so hard not to love her!

 photo DSC_2563_zpseaf479dc.jpg

I used twine to do her hair,
jute twine to bring out the dimension in the broom,
added glittter to her dress and a hat...
and used wooden stars to bring some of them out.

 photo DSC_2566_zps66f0e93b.jpg

This sentiment comes from You Witch! itty bitty.

Next up is a cute 'lil Snow Peeps release -
Also from Tracey Malnofski!

 photo DSC_2577_zps9d052a19.jpg

For this one, I really wanted to emphasize on the cute snowman making the angel path.
So, I added some 'dimensional snow' to the rest hoping to create that effect.
Perhaps, you can see it better below!

 photo DSC_2579_zpse1a594f7.jpg

This was made using the Christmas ornament file found HERE.

Oh, and I don't know if you notice,
but I tried to lift off his sweater and his hat off the page a bit to make him look chunkier :)

You can see the rest of the new snow peeps here!

 photo sale4_zps3674b472.jpg

The next one is a super simple card using the current KOM.
If you don't know what it is, or to sign up - click above :)

 photo DSC_2567_zps0bf1b2b4.jpg

I wanted to keep this clean,
but add some 'umph' to the card.

I created a window to the card,
layered it with the window sill, clear acetate, vase, and a fabric curtain :)

Lastly, but not least, is a card using the current SOTW!
(This was up on the Unity blog, but just haven't had time to post it here)

 photo DSC_2560_zps986f06ef.jpg

This is not usually my style..
as it's only my second ever card that I used splattered ink on,
but am very happy with how it came out!

I love that weaved white cardstock that I picked up at Jo Ann's during my trip to the US.
It adds so much!

 photo DSC_2561_zpsf4d30eb1.jpg

The butterfly is made using adhesive fabric -
I sprayed it with various mists,
and after drying, I stamped the image on it.

Anyway - that's it!
Don't forget to COMMENT,
check out the SALE
